When bipolar disorder is raging, it\u2019s physically and mentally painful. We simply want to feel better. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"aricl\" data-offset-key=\"bmeo7-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"bmeo7-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"bmeo7-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"aricl\" data-offset-key=\"e0ap-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"e0ap-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"e0ap-0-0\">This way of coping isn&#8217;t smart. It\u2019s not exactly forward thinking. It\u2019s not good for our futures. But when an illness makes you want to die, having a pint of ice cream seems like an understandable alternative. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"aricl\" data-offset-key=\"38bq3-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"38bq3-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"38bq3-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"aricl\" data-offset-key=\"703mg-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"703mg-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"703mg-0-0\">IF, and I wish it were the case, IF the long term use of the above choices didn\u2019t have consequences, we could use them. What\u2019s wrong with a little coke, a hit of pot? A pill, a beer ?<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"aricl\" data-offset-key=\"6ptms-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"6ptms-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"6ptms-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"aricl\" data-offset-key=\"ecl5m-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"ecl5m-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"ecl5m-0-0\">As we know, it\u2019s never just once because this illness doesn\u2019t happen once and then go away. It\u2019s not the flu or a case of the break up blues. It\u2019s a genetic mental health disorder that affects every ounce of our being. For many of us, it\u2019s chronic. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"aricl\" data-offset-key=\"ad076-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"ad076-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"ad076-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"aricl\" data-offset-key=\"7q9ce-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"7q9ce-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"7q9ce-0-0\">I am on a hike, a journey, a sojourn to finding alternatives to the above coping list. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"aricl\" data-offset-key=\"a2o7i-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"a2o7i-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"a2o7i-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"aricl\" data-offset-key=\"aepo9-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"aepo9-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"aepo9-0-0\">This is my next Bp Magazine blog topic.
