But\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>There is always a but\u2026<\/p>\n<p>College is the same thing as work. It\u2019s a stimulating environment with a lot of people and a lot of pressure. Bipolar disorder doesn\u2019t like this. It took me eight years to finish college. I didn\u2019t have a treatment plan then. In fact, I didn\u2019t know I had bipolar disorder! The diagnosis explains a lot.<\/p>\n<p>As with any stressful situation, the solution is planning.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">You will need a treatment plan before college starts<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I have to be honest and say I can\u2019t go to school full time. It\u2019s too stressful for me- but I can go part time! Many friends of mine with bipolar have master\u2019s degrees, etc. So it\u2019s possible.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re starting college, you have to make a plan now. Try the Health Cards- the plan I use- or get something else.
